Kristi Cocke Joins PPMS Administrative Team

Pelham City Schools is pleased to announce that Kristi Cocke was recently named an assistant principal at Pelham Park Middle School. Mrs. Cocke joins Mr. Finch, principal, and Mrs. Melton, assistant principal, on the school’s administrative team. 

Cocke’s career spans 19 years in education in the roles of aide, teacher, instructional coach, reading specialist, and most recently assistant principal and preschool director. Cocke started her career at Valley Elementary School in Pelham and also worked at Valley Intermediate, Pelham Ridge, and Pelham Oaks before working in Tarrant City Schools over the past four years.

Mrs. Cocke says she is thrilled to join the team at Pelham Park. “Pelham is my home and where I began my teaching career. My children attended school in Pelham, and now some of my grandchildren are attending school in Pelham. I am honored and humbled to serve this school community, and I look forward to making lasting memories and building meaningful relationships,” she says. 

Cocke leads with care, compassion, and collaboration, and her enthusiasm about being an educator is rooted in her passion for making a difference in the lives of those around her. She says her focus on inspiring, supporting, and mentoring goes far beyond knowledge to give young people the chance to share and develop the best parts of themselves. 

Mrs. Cocke received a Collaborative Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She has also earned a Masters level degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Instructional Leadership from the University of North Alabama. In her free time, Mrs. Cocke enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
