October is National Principals Month, and it's not too late to join in the movement to #ThankAPrincipal! Our principals go above and beyond to lead our schools and connect with students, teachers, and staff. Their dedication, determination, and teamwork are driving forces in our mission to inspire and empower students to achieve personal success. While you probably know something about each of our principals, you may be surprised to see a little more of their personal sides. Check out the Q&As below and learn more about what inspires them, what accomplishments they're proud of, what they do when they're not at school, and even what they love to eat in the school cafeteria!

What's your favorite thing to do when you're not at school? Auburn everything - I love Auburn Football, Auburn Softball, Auburn Baseball, and Auburn Basketball. When I retire I plan on buying an RV and being an Auburn Groupie!

Is there a quote or saying that you live your life by? “We all must suffer one of the two pains; the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces where regret weighs tons.”- Jim Rohn. My husband shared this quote with me 25 years ago, and it has guided my steps ever since.

What's your favorite thing to do when you're not at school? I love being with my friends and family when I’m not at school. I enjoy spending time outside and watching Auburn football.

What's your favorite dish from the cafeteria? I don’t think this answer will surprise any of my teachers or students, but my favorite cafeteria food is crispitos. I loved them in high school and they are still my favorite as an adult.

What accomplishment are you most proud of at your school? I am most proud of all of my students, teachers, and parents for how they’ve handled school during a pandemic. These changes have not been easy for anyone. I am impressed daily by how everyone faces these challenges head-on.
