PCS Receives an 89 on Education Report Card
Posted on 10/23/2019
Pelham City Schools received an 89 (B) on the Alabama State Report Card that was recently released. Our score ranks Pelham in the top 20% among all of the school systems in the state, and we remain a high performing, diverse school system where our students are empowered to achieve academic and personal success. We're very proud of our schools and the work being done by our students and teachers.

The report card scores are based on 2019 spring data, with the exception of graduation rates and college and career readiness, which are from 2018. Our system score is a 2-point increase over last year's score of 87. Each of Pelham's schools increased their total scores or remained the same over last year's report card. We continue to be encouraged by our academic growth metrics, and we're currently assessing all data details within each accountability indicator.

While the report card provides objective data, many factors influence the quality of a school system, and the Alabama State Report Card is one tool that provides a snapshot of our system's performance. In the past and going forward, we will continue to use data and best practices to guide our continuous efforts to help our students build a strong academic foundation.

Congratulations to our students and teachers for their hard work and achievements!
