Academy of Craft Training Students on Signing DaySixteen Pelham High School students attend the Academy of Craft Training in Birmingham where they are immersed in education and hands-on learning opportunities in skilled trades such as building construction, masonry, HVAC/plumbing, welding and electrical.

The Academy of Craft Training celebrated the accomplishments of its students on May 10 at a Signing Day event where each student received NCCER Industry Recognized Credentials.  In addition, several seniors in the program signed on to begin careers with highly regarded Birmingham-based construction companies such as Brasfield and Gorrie, Marathon Electric, BL Harbert, Bright Future, and McInnis Construction. Over the course of the school year, nine Pelham High School students were also named Employee of the Month in their respective trades.

We're excited to announce that another group of sixteen students from Pelham High School has been accepted into the Academy of Craft Training for the 2018-2019 school year. We look forward to our third year of participating in this program that continually provides invaluable experience and opportunities for our students.
