Pelham City Schools uses the Apptegy communications platform to keep families informed and connected. Depending on the message, communications may be delivered through the Pelham City Schools app, Rooms, text message, email, or phone call.

Communications may include:

• Classroom and school updates

• Attendance information

• Transportation or dismissal changes

• School delays, closings, or schedule changes

• Upcoming events and important reminders

• Time-sensitive or emergency notifications

Pelham City Schools App

Families are encouraged to download the Pelham City Schools app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and allow push notifications.

The app provides access to district and school news, events, dining menus, notifications, Rooms communication, athletics, and other helpful resources.

Rooms

Families can access Rooms through the PCS app or the Rooms web portal to receive classroom, school, and district updates and communicate securely with teachers and staff.

Depending on a student’s school, grade level, and classroom, families may receive announcements, reminders, newsletters, classroom updates, photos, and direct messages through Rooms.

Keep Your Contact Information Current

The parent and guardian contact information provided during student registration is used for school communications throughout the year.

Families should provide a current mobile phone number and at least one current email address. If your contact information changes during the school year, contact the registrar at your student’s school to update it in PowerSchool.

Contact information is kept secure and is used only for school-related purposes.

Notification Preferences

Families may have the option to adjust or unsubscribe from certain types of email, text, or app notifications. However, turning off notifications could prevent you from receiving important school information.

We encourage families to keep their contact information current, allow notifications from the PCS app, and remain subscribed to school and district communications.
