Record Breaking Advanced Placement Scores at PHS

Pelham High School students continue to excel in Advanced Placement (AP) coursework, earning an 81% AP exam pass rate this year—an increase of five percentage points over last year.

The results also mark the school's sixth consecutive year of schoolwide improvement, reflecting a continued commitment to academic excellence and student success.

In addition to the overall pass rate, 11 of Pelham High School's AP courses outperformed both the Alabama and global AP exam pass rates, demonstrating the strength of the school's Advanced Placement program across multiple subject areas.

Advanced Placement courses provide students with the opportunity to complete college-level coursework while still in high school, helping them build the knowledge and skills needed for future success. Strong AP exam performance can also allow students to earn college credit, depending on the policies of the college or university they attend.

Congratulations to our students, teachers and school leaders for once again setting a high standard of academic excellence!
