About Our Menus
Pelham City Schools menus have been planned to meet federal regulations including, but not limited to, age groups and portion sizes. Over the course of each week, our menus meet caloric, meat/meat alternate and grain ranges. Additionally, menus meet/exceed the required vegetable subgroups consisting of dark green, red/orange, legumes, starchy, and other. Fresh fruits and vegetables are offered daily.
Our school cafeterias participate in the "Offer vs. Serve" meal program meaning a student must take a minimum of 1/2 cup of fruit or vegetable as part of the lunch meal, but can decline any two (2) of the other items offered to be considered a complete lunch. A complete breakfast or lunch is required to receive the meal program reimbursements.
