Pelham High School Pajamas/Athletic Wear Week
December 4-13
Pelham High School students, teachers, and staff have the opportunity to get comfy in preparation for exam week and the end of the semester. Bring $1 each day for the opportunity to wear either pajamas or athletic wear. Other dress code rules apply. All proceeds benefit PHS.

City of Pelham Annual Tree Lighting Event

Thursday, December 5 at 6:30 pm
Pelham Civic Complex
Enjoy music, cookies and cocoa, ice skating and a visit with Santa at the annual Pelham Community Christmas Tree Lighting in the Main Arena at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.
Pelham Park Middle School Band Holiday Concert
Thursday, December 12 at 7 pm
Pelham High School Auditorium
The community is invited to enjoy the sounds of the season with festive musical performances by the middle school band. 

Pelham Oaks Elementary's Annual Barn Dance 

Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 pm
Pelham Oaks Elementary Gym
2nd graders and their families will enjoy a festive an evening of square dancing fun at this interactive event where they'll show off the moves they've learned in PE.

Shelby County Weekend at the Birmingham Zoo for Zoolight Safari
December 13-15 from 5-9 pm
The Birmingham Zoo
Shelby County residents are invited to enjoy Buy One Get One Free tickets to the Zoolight Safari on December 13, 14 & 15. Event admission tickets are $10 (rides are additional cost). Discounted zoo memberships also available. Must show identification with Shelby County residence to qualify for the special offers. 

Alabama Bicentennial Parade

Saturday, December 14 at 10 am in Montgomery
The Pelham High School Band will represent the Sixth Congressional District and perform in the event which will focus on Alabama people, places and history. The route will begin at Court Square Fountain and move along Dexter Avenue to the State Capitol. 

Sounds of the Season hosted by Pelham Bands
Sunday, December 15 from 3-5 pm
Venue 31 in Pelham
Featuring live holiday music, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction. Tickets $15 per person. Click here for details and ticket information. 

Pelham Park Middle School Awards Day

Pelham Park Middle School 
First semester celebration of academic, leadership, and other notable accomplishments. Letters to parents were sent home the week of December 2 for students receiving an award.
Assemblies schedule by grade level: 6th grade at 8:15 am, 7th grade at 9:45 am, 8th grade at 12:30 pm

Christmas Break
Monday, December 23 - Thursday, January 2 (schools and offices closed)
Students will be dismissed at 1 pm on Friday, December 20.
Friday, January 3 is a Teacher Workday.
Students will return to school on Monday, January 6, 2020.
